There are more magazines included in the fieldwork than are reported. What are the MRI standards for releasing a given magazine’s audience numbers?
In order to guarantee that MRI’s magazine ratings are stable and consistent, MRI must apply a set of strict reporting standards; these standards govern whether or not we publish the measurements for a given magazine that is included in the fieldwork. When MRI begins to measure a magazine, a minimum number of respondents must consistently qualify for average issue audience of that magazine, and these respondents must meet certain standards in terms of homogeneity and stability. The specific standards are revised occasionally, and are always published prior to a new study’s release.
