There are devices in NDOR in My Organisation for which the BUILDING location is incorrect. Should I correct the BUILDING location?
If you find machines for which the BUILDING location setting is incorrect please do NOT modify the BUILDING location but instead notify Paul Aston specifying the correct BUILDING location for the device(s) and we will correct the BUILDING location. This is important as a change of BUILDING location is interpreted as a request to modify the IP address information of the device and if the machine is currently functioning on the network then the IP address is actually correct albeit that the BUILDING location is incorrect. NOTE: You are free to change the FLOOR/ROOM location information of any device in your organisation without this flagging a request for a change of IP address.
