The Air Force continues to meet the needs of combatant commanders while contributing to the joint fight. Precisely managing our force enables the Air Force to continue to meet those needs while also stabilizing our military personnel account. Based on the average time in grade and time in service for Air Force enlisted personnel, the impact on the overall experience levels is minimal. We will continue to provide combatant commanders with high-caliber, highly-experienced Airmen. This change is not a reduction in enlisted authorizations or an adjustment to the end strength of enlisted personnel. The HYT normalization will not change current dwell times.
