There appear to be many ‘consultants’ advertising their services on the internet. How can I choose one who is credible and competent?
A The MCR (Management Consultants Register) is a service run by the CQI (Chartered Quality Institute) to provide businesses with contacts to consultants of known capability and experience. The MCR lists only consultants of known experience and capability, all of whom have had to undergo a rigorous selection process. You will be given access to the register of consultants details so you can select the industry and expertise you need. You can then select the consultant(s) that best suits you and directly contact them for further assistance. Registered consultants are independent consultants who have a wide range of training and experience and are geographically well distributed – all of which means that they can offer you cost-effective consultancy. Consultants must undergo an initial assessment during which they have to provide evidence of experience and customer satisfaction.
