therapist education program?

No, except for two programs in the US, PT programs do not accept PTA program curriculum. A PT curriculum has much more curriculum in the evaluation and theory aspects of physical therapy. In some areas such as physical agents and therapeutic exercises, you already have a good background which will be built upon through PT curriculum. As noted above, there are two programs in the US which accept only PTA students. These programs acknowledge your PTA education and add to it thus transitioning you from a PTA to a PT. You will, of course, be required to meet several prerequisite requirements including employment as a physical therapist assistant and additional general education courses such as Chemistry.
