The water is cloudy or brown colored. Is it safe to drink?
Yes. We add disinfectant at the water treatment plant and conduct daily tests throughout the system to make sure chlorine is present. Sometimes a hydrant is opened or a water main breaks which causes turbulence or discoloration. When this occurs, the water is still safe to drink.
