The volume setting seems too low. Can it be made louder?
• The unit has three volume settings, mute–low–high. The third volume setting (double beep feedback) is the highest setting. We have placed a preamble “chime” sound in front of the voice prompts and we have “shaped” the voice prompts themselves to maximize the sound level at this volume setting. We have found that this combination is acceptable for most normal driving conditions. We have observed that with increased road noise (convertible-fleet vehicles) and other loud internal sounds, that the sounds may be masked somewhat, so there are some other sounds available from the website for download that may be perceived louder at this volume setting. This gives you an opportunity to personalize your Otto for your driving conditions. Also, the LEDs on the unit serve to alert you visually of the road safety hazards and speeding conditions and complement the sounds.
