C: Oregon was acquired as a result of a war with France, part of the settlement being the Louisiana Purchase. It became a state on February 14, 1859, and was the 33rd state to join the union. Some of the most beautiful seacoasts in the United States can be found along the Oregon Coast. Only place I’ve ever lived that i truly miss.
