The turfgrass on the greens on my course has been patched a few times, but the turfgrass just keeps on dying, what is the problem?
If its not widespread, it may not be the turfgrass thats the problem, it could be the soil or the technique. Is the turfgrass healthy on the source green but dying on the target green? Could it be caused by a difference of the cutting height? A sudden decrease in cutting height would spell disaster for the grass. Maybe you could suggest you Superintendent to try using a different technique or use a different a soil base. Or get a second opinion, sometimes another pair of eyes looking in may see the things that other eyes have missed or taken for granted. There are some other questions that I have been asked personally or through e-mail. It may be too specific that I do not think it would be worth sharing with others. If you have other questions that you would like to be answered or a topic that you would like to know more about, drop me a note and Ill see what I can do about it.
