The interface is similar to Ancestry.com, but with Gale Group/Thomson Learning branding prominently displayed. The focus is on accessing the databases rather than on all of the “other” features available at Ancestry.com. Ancestry.com has been careful to remove advertising, commerce offerings, and areas that require individual registration from the AncestryPlus product. Please see the trial site (URL above) for details. The system has been enhanced since we came to our agreement with Ancestry through the addition of wildcarding and better date searching. Additional enhancements that are requested by our library customers will also be implemented. Question 9 Will we be adding the UK/Ireland site anytime soon? Ancestry.com recently released a new subscription product that concentrates on the UK and Ireland. Gale and Ancestry are currently talking about making this data available in AncestryPlus and we expect that it will be available soon.
