The Torchmate Driver software lists minimum requirements – are those the same for the CAD software?

Computer Requirements for the Torchmate CAD will be the same as they are for the driver software. We usually recommend a faster computer for the CAD because of things like nesting and toolpathing on huge files with hundreds of shapes. Those things take a lot of processing power. The Lite version of the CAD most likely will not have nesting, because frankly, you won’t need it. Also, the files and number of shapes that can fit in the small area of this machine will be relatively small as well. Again, this software was built for production and machines that are designed to knock out thousands upon thousands of parts across a large area. You just don’t need a lot of that stuff on this little one. Same thing goes for the driver software. It is a ton of code to cut a hundred shapes or a thousand shapes from a single sheet. We can pull some stuff out of the software which will make it not necessarily large machine friendly, but it still work perfectly for the little machine.
