The Texas Regional hostmaster was created in 1997 to replace the TX.US registration operation of the SESQUINET hostmaster. SESQUINET was acquired from Rice University in 1998. The Texas Regional Hostmaster has no association with the current owners of SESQUINET or Rice University.
