The Sudbury Suffolk Iceland store was closed recently. Are they opening another store locally?
According to their press release they will be looking to open new stores in town where they sold the leases to Marks & Spencer (as happened in Sudbury): http://www.iceland.co.uk/ext_11/web/pres… From today’s position of restored strength, we are announcing the sale of 28 leasehold stores** across the UK to Marks & Spencer Group plc for a cash consideration of £38 million. This was a really outstanding offer which we felt that it was our duty to our shareholders to accept. I am particularly pleased that all store staff in the locations concerned will be able to transfer to Marks & Spencer, and that their terms and conditions of employment will be fully protected.
