Bright Capture technology helps you take better images in low-light conditions. It lightens the preview in the LCD monitor by condensing light information from groups of neighboring CCD pixels into each pixel of the LCD. This allows you to see on-screen an image that will more closely resemble the final print. The display is 4.5 times brighter than those of other digital cameras, making it easier to compose shots in dark or subdued light. Certain shooting and scene modes also use Bright Capture technology to improve your digital images. In these modes, light information from groups of neighboring CCD pixels is packed into each pixel of the captured digital image file. This results in clearer, brighter images.
