• 8.3 I can’t get the joystick connected to my sound card to work. This is frequently a problem where the joystick port on the sound card has to be initialized when the driver is loaded. Please try experimentating with ‘insmod device joy=port’, e.g. ‘insmod es1371 joy=200’. If you are experiencing this particular problem, you should consult both /usr/src/linux/Documentation/joystick.txt and the documentation for the sound card in question, as the format changes from card to card.
