If passed it would enable Council to raise the development charge to a maximum of $0.50 per square foot. It s City Council s prerogative as to when and how much to increase the charge up to the maximum approved by voters. Their campaign literature states that the goal is to raise it to $0.15 for two years, $0.25 for two years, and $0.50 for six years.
