The site is well used by local people – what about the existing footpaths, Sustrans route etc?
There will be no need to divert any existing footpaths and there will only be one minor footpath crossing required near the plant site. Quarry vehicles will only need to cross the path at an average rate of 2 to 3 loads per hour to achieve the proposed output. The riverside walk will be retained intact, with access as at present. The public will have access to restored areas without having to wait for completion of the whole of the floodplain forest.
