This can happen when a ShotCode is damaged, suffers high reflection (e.g. a ShotCode behind a glass surface), is too small or printed in the wrong contrast colors. Just like any other barcode reader the ShotCode reader needs a clear view. ?Be careful when resizing your ShotCode in an image editing program, inverting the image will damage the integrity of the code.
