The seeds of Cronian go back about five or six years, how does it feel to get this album out?
It feels very good. As you mentioned we have been (at least mentally) working with this project for some years now. That was part of the plan. We have both been quite busy the last couple of years, combined with the fact that we wanted this band/ project (or whatever…) to slowly find its shape. No rush in other words, but as the music formed we got more and more eager to get it out. So it is great to have it out, turn the page and start working on a new album. How would you describe the sound you and Vintersorg have created with Cronian? Isn’t that your job? You know, for me this is a hard one. In my entire musical career I have tried to make music that is beyond the usual musical tags, that somehow roams within its own realm. Music that you are able to describe fairly well in few words is usually quite boring if you ask me. Though, in Cronian you find a fine blend of musical styles. Of course we have the standard elements from our metal background, but there is a tension to it that
