The scooter box says my electric scooter should go up to 10 mph and it doesn seem to go that fast. Whats wrong?
The speed the scooter can attain is dependent on a number of factors: the weight of the rider, the state of charge, and ideal running conditions such as temperature and incline of the road. The scooter should attain the rated speed on flat ground if it has a full charge, the tires properly inflated, with an average weight rider, with no headwind and in a 70 F nominal temperature. Riders at or near the maximum weight limit, low tire pressure and temperatures below 50 F could all contribute to why the scooter might not attain the rated speed.
