The right blog publishing software… which one allows embedded flash codes to be posted without any tweaking?
Do you care about XHTML standards compliance? Are the words ‘degrades gracefully’ important to you? If so, I second the recommendation for kimili – great plugin. Note: It is good for embedding flash files but you may have trouble getting it to work and validate when using third-party videos that require specific embed code. Do you just want to embed videos from YouTube quickly and with as little hassle as possible? As others have mentioned, you shouldn’t really need a plugin. Embedded videos work fine in WordPress. Are you using the Visual Editor when writing posts? If so, that is your problem. It will try to ‘fix’ the code in your post and, in doing so, tends to munge the embed code. To disable it, login to your admin panel and go to: Users>Your Profile At the bottom of the page there are Personal Options. Uncheck Use the visual rich editor when writing.
