The Research Grant guidance notes for completing the case for support say that collaborator letters are no longer required. Is this true for NIRGs?

No. Although the MRC wish to reduce the number of annexes for a Research Grant as an exception NIRG applicants may submit collaborator letters with their proposal. The letters should be kept to a minimum and grouped together as one PDF.
