That is what is confusing me as I don have media that I know of in my main tank, I use live rock and a HOB skimmer, no sump or refugium or mechanical filtration, so what media are we speaking of?

concern is, if the refugium overflow water enters the sump and returns to the main tank (unskimmed), is that putting too much unskimmed water back in to the main tank? Thanks again for all your help! Bob Dusin
