We must expect a high character of President Clinton, and any president for that matter, because he is the moral authority of our nation and the most powerful person in the world. The president carries more responsibility than any congressman, government official, court justice, or foreign head of state. How can we trust a man with more responsibility than any other in the world when he cannot demonstrate responsibility to the law, his family, and to the moral values of his country. When a person takes the office of president they become a public figure. Actions of the president, both public and private, effect the ideas and character of the nation.
