The Pleasant Hill Fire Station sold for under the asking price. What does this mean?
The Pleasant Hill fire station sold for $127,000. It was less than the appraised value, but the critical point for the Town Center project is that it was just $23,000 less than the $150,000 budgeted for the fire station sale in the financial plan for the Town Center. That means the Town has already sold one of the three properties it needs to generate revenue for the renovations. The Fire Station, considered the most difficult to sell, used only 4% of the $600,000 contingency fund set aside to make up the difference if revenue from property sales falls short.
