The Pharcyde reunited for Rock the Bells. How was it?
It was crazy, because we really weren’t on good terms. We were still feeling each other out, and it was extremely uncomfortable. No matter what good energy you put forth first, you are still uncomfortable because there’s a lot of emotional baggage. When you point one finger there’s three pointing back at you, you know? So it was just hard. If you had to quantify what splintered the group in the first place, how would you do that? Well, I think that part is heavily personal in one sense. I mean, at first Fatlip was the one always messing things up. I mean, literally messing things up. And then there’s my part of it, where, I wasn’t trying to leave the group whatsoever, I was doing a side-project and trying to be creative. But I was told that you can only give 100%, and I thought I was. So I felt like they were giving me an ultimatum.
