The band originally started as Sleep of Right. Their first ever live gig was in Bologna, Italy in 1994 and they recorded a song “Bleeding Souls” which was released in 1995 on the “Noise of Bolgia” compilation CD. The Sleep of Right lineup was as follows: Andrea Ferro: Bass & Vocals Raffaele Zagaria: Guitar Marco Coti Zelati: Guitar Michelangelo: Drums (if anyone knows his last name, drop us a line) Marco started to play bass so Andrea could concentrate on singing, and Claudio joined the band as a second guitarist. He was followed by Leonardo after the departure of Michelangelo. They were joined by Cristina Scabbia who was a friend of theirs. She was originally asked to do just backing vocals, but the band liked her singing and she joined Andrea as a female lead singer. They changed the name to Ethereal and released a 2-track demo.
