The Regulation no longer refers to ‘hazardous substances’ because the term is too broad and can potentially be confused with ‘hazardous waste’, which is a different issue. The Regulation retains the emission standards for Type 1 and Type 2 substances that were called hazardous substances in the previous regulation.
