When you turn on the NYTEST analyzer, the machine conducts a series of internal checks before it displays the main menu. If the system fails any of the checks, the NYTEST analyzer displays a lockout message. Read Section IX of the VS-28 Emissions Inspection Procedure Manual to get a list of lockout messages and corrective actions. If you use the actions described in the manual, but cannot correct the lockout, contact your equipment vendor.
