In Microsoft’s Internet Explorer, the View, Status Bar should be ticked. In Mozilla Firefox, there is a setting to enable this. Click on Tools, Options, Web Features, Advanced. Check the ‘Change status bar text’ box and uncheck the ‘Hide the status bar’ box.
