The new law requires a contractor to hold a license issued by OCIEB in order to do contracting work. Who is responsible for enforcing the license requirements?
OCIEB. Under the new law, if OCIEB receives information that a person is performing contracting work without a license, OCIEB has the statutory authority to investigate the information. If OCIEB determines that a person is performing contracting work illegally, OCIEB has the authority to go to any Common Pleas Court in Ohio in order to stop the illegal activity.
