The New Battery Isn Charging. Is it defective battery?
New batteries are shipped in a discharged condition or with very low capacity and must charged before use. We generally recommend an overnight charge (approximately twelve hours). Refer to the user’s manual for charging instructions. Rechargeable batteries should be cycled (fully charged and then fully discharged) three to five times initially to allow them to reach their full capacity.
