As was said in the User Guide (p.45) of this plug-in, the Ambient Light Auto-Adjust option behaves correctly ONLY if the area, on which this option affects, is parallel to the background (The area’s Altitude equal to 90 degrees.) and the light source(s) that you are using for lighting up that area is(are) the white color(s) with a positive intensity.
