The NAC OSCE cost is only $ 100 in Alberta, which is much lower than in other provinces. How many are candidates are going to be subsidized?
AIMGP’s mandate is to assess Alberta based IMGs who meet AIMGP’s eligibility requirements. The number of NAC OSCE seats in Alberta is based on the resource capacity to complete a high quality clinical examination. Alberta Health and Wellness, which funds the AIMG Program, continues to support Alberta based IMGs by subsidizing the cost of the OSCEs held in Alberta as part of the AIMG Program assessment process. There is no separate fee for AIMGP candidates to sit the Alberta NAC OSCE. The AIMGP fee is a non-refundable application fee, based on the number of disciplines selected by an individual applicant, to a maximum of $500 (5 disciplines).
