The ID code was not set properly. You will need to uninstall the mouse and reinstall. Follow these steps: 1. Install the battery a. Remove battery cover b. Place flat ends (negative pole) of the battery against spring c. Replace cover 2. Connect receiver unit to a 9-pin serial port on your PC. 3. Turn on PC 4. Set the ID code a. Press the small hole above the LED on the receiver unit with a paper clip the LED will light for about 2 seconds. The receiver unit stays in IDE registration mode for 8 seconds after the LED turns off. b. To register the ID, operate the mouse near the receiver unit during the 8 seconds. c. The cursor on the screen will move along with the movement of the mouse. d. If the ID has not registered properly, the LED will flash 3 times. If this happens, repeat the steps above.
