The mission statement says the programs are designed to enhance Direct Care Staff performance. Does this mean the in-services are only written for the front line staff?
The 12 Minute Trainer writes in-services specifically designed for the direct care giver in long term care. Our in-services are written for the entry level staff member. Many of our programs include information useful to other staff members as well. For example, our Ergonomics in-service starts at the basics and shows examples of ergonomic stressors common to the direct care giver as well as the maintenance worker and office staff. Simple solutions are provided for each common ergonomic stressor in an easily understood format. The program also encourages the viewer to think about ergonomic stressors related to job tasks and problem solve resolutions for each. Although the programs are written for the direct care giver, most staff can benefit from these programs.
