Prismiq has documented that to use the media agent (magent) control interface, you have to edit the file magent.conf (located on the Prismiq device’s Linux file store on the device itself) and change the value CFG_MAGENT_LOCAL = 1 to CFG_MAGENT_LOCAL = 0 Note: You might mess up your player if you try this & edit things wrong. Try at your own risk. YOU MUST HAVE A KEYBOARD TO DO THIS AT THIS TIME – SORRY. All commands are very case sensitive ie. J is not the same as j Fire up the system if not already on. At the main info screen: Press Ctrl-Alt-Left Arrow together Press Return Key Your screen goes blank and your Busybox shell (ash) and a $ prompt type cd etc type vi magent.conf You are now in the ancient vi editor. It does NOT work like Windows Notepad but uses typical Unix type cryptic commands. Documentation at the bottom of this post. Commands: 18j 19l (that is 19 little-L) now you are at the CFG_MAGENT_LOCAL = 1 value to change: r0 (that is r-zero) now the value is CFG_MAGENT_LOCAL
