The Mazda guy said the transmission and engine block/cylinder sleeves on the speed 3 was all built stronger and more durable to handle the torque/power of a turbo. Is it cost effective?
Not a bad idea but an expensive one. You just don’t add a turbo. There are other things to consider here. Stronger crank and bearings,stronger valve springs, new wiring harness, new computer, new exhaust plumbing lines for the turbo oiling system, different routing system for the serpentine belt and accessories just to mention a few.
