The maximum length of an SMS is 160. Can Multi-function SMS Server send messages longer than 160 characters?
Yes, it can. Multi-function SMS Server supports message concatenation whereby longer-than-160 messages are split into multiple messages and sent sequentially. The user who receives the messages will see one long message, just as the originator intended it to be. This feature depends on the phone model. Latest models, like Siemens S45, Sony Ericsson R600 support long messages. Earlier models will display the messages separately, i.e. not one long message.
