The link for submitting the extra credit assignment does not work on my computer. What is wrong?
The link for submitting extra credit assignments is a “mailto:” link. This type of link opens an email message. If your web browser is not configured correctly, the link may not work. Computers in public areas such as libraries or in the student computer labs at ISU are often configured so that “mailto:” links will not function. This miss-configuration is intentional to prevent the use of the web-browser on the public computer from being used to send anonymous emails. Some public computers are configured so that the “mailto:” links function but you must check the “From:” line to insure that your return/from web address is on this line. We have receive extra credit submissions from students using public computers who did not change the “From:” line or include their name in the body of the message; there is no indication who submitted the extra credit assignment.
