The color temperature of the LED is much whiter than incandescent bulbs. There are some “warmer” LEDs coming on the market but they are nowhere near as bright as the LED used in the MicroStar. Although some feel this light is a bit harsh, it actually allows for better visual acuity and differentiation than a “warmer” color. The night belongs to the moon and stars, light very similar in color to the MicroStar. Some customers, insistent on “warmer” light have had success with gel filters. Because there is no heat generated from the LED, various films and filters may be safely placed over the LED.
