The leaves are curling and reducing in size with heavy flower drop. What are the control measures for it?
A. The leaf curl in chilli is of two types . The upward curling of leaves is due to thrips and downward curling is due to mite attack. Both types of curling may also occur at the same time. For the control of thrips spray Monocrotophos 6ml or Acephate 1gm or Fipronil 2ml. FOr the control of mite spray Kelthane or Wettable sulphur. If both sucking pests are observed simultaneously spray Phosalone 3 ml / l.
