To prevent babies from accidentally swallowing the button battery that is used in the Digital Thermometer for baby, we have designed it so that it is not possible to replace the battery. When the battery runs out you will have to purchase a new Digital Thermometer for baby, but the unit should last for around five years if used for 10 minutes a day.
