The IEERB administers Public Law 217. What is Public Law 217?
This law (also commonly described as “CEEBA”) established the statutory framework for collective bargaining between teachers and school employers. Public Law 217 was passed in 1973. It may be described as a general labor relations statute defining the rights and duties of teachers and school boards, adjudication of disputes, and negotiation impasse resolution procedures.
