If it is a newer Suburban heater, check earlier item above first. For heaters in general, a no-light burner means that something is not allowing the main valve to open. Vintage Gas Control Valves are very simple and durable devices, and rarely fail. It almost always come down to some simple external reason or periphery unit causing the problem. It could also be something as simple as a low, but not fully empty, LPG tank.
