The HC doesn’t seem to last long enough – what is Medrol?
Dr Peatfield says that HC is “not stored by the body and gets rapidly used; 2 or 3 hours will see it pretty well used up completely.” Some people metabolize HC faster than others. If a person has symptoms of low cortisol despite gradually working up to about 30mg of HC, they may want to talk with their doctor about trying Medrol. Depending on the persons metabolism, the 1/2 life of Medrol can range from 18 to 36 hours.
