The HC doesn’t seem to last long enough – what is Medrol?
Dr Peatfield says that HC is “not stored by the body and gets rapidly used; 2 or 3 hours will see it pretty well used up completely.” Some people metabolize HC faster than others. If a person has symptoms of low cortisol despite being on higher doses of HC, such as over 30-40 mg, they may want to talk with their doctor about trying Medrol. Depending on the persons metabolism, the 1/2 life of Medrol can range from 18 to 36 hours.
