The guidelines for the Renewable Energy Competitive Grant program states that as many as 16 projects and as few as one project will receive funding through this grant opportunity. Why that range?
GEFA may award funds to between one and 16 organizations through the Renewable Energy Grant program, depending on the quality of proposals received. Funds will be awarded competitively to the highest-scoring applicants until no funding remains. The minimum project funding available is $250,000 – if each recipient were awarded the minimum funding this would result in 16 projects. The maximum funding available per project is $4,000,000, meaning that GEFA could choose to award all available funds to a single recipient, if that application scores highest.
