The group I was hunting with just looted a nice piece of equipment. How do we decide who gets it?
The common method for distributing items is to hold a lottery, or draw. This is done by having an outside party choose a number between 1 and 100 (without telling the number). Everyone who participated in the kill then tells him/her their number of choice. The person who guesses closest to the number selected by the outside party wins the draw. Draws are held, separately, for each item, with a winner, typically, abstaining from subsequent draws.
