You cannot use both DVI ports to enable multi-monitor support on the GeForce 9800 GX2 nor can you cannot use DVI connector #1 and HDMI connector on the on the main board (the bracket with the power status LED and SPDIF output) to enable multi-monitor. There are HDMI to DVI adapters available to purchase which will allow you to connect a DVI monitor up to 1920×1200.
